Sputnik chandelier for Temde Leuchten by Max Bill & Nele Switzerland 1960s

This atomic chandelier with nine opalescent white glass bulbs was designed by Swiss artist and designer E.R. Nele for Temde Leuchten. The globes are blown by hand and equipped with a screwing device. This is a very rare version and very difficult to find: the brass version. The brass contrasts sharply with the white opaline bulbs, giving this Sputnik the luxurious look of Switzerland. The lamp has nine bulbs, forming a cloud of light. It can be used both as a table lamp and as a chandelier. This is a high-end production with heavy brass and opalines inserted into screws. High quality and in very good condition. Cleaned, well wired and ready to use. The luminaire requires 9 standard E14 bulbs. Light bulbs are not included.
