The cup is in very good condition. It is patinated, but very healthy. It was entirely carved from a single piece of wood, with a gouge, by some skilled handyman, probably in the first half of the 20th century. It is a very beautiful object of folk art, remarkable for its size and the grace of its lines. Very beautiful raw appearance, the object is touching for its authenticity.
