Set of 4 Thonet dining room chairs circa 1905

Four dining room chairs from the iconic Thonet brand, established in Vienna, Austria. This is a variation of chair no. 376, presented in the 1906 catalog. Rare model! These chairs are in line with the Wiener Werkstatte, an artistic movement dating from 1903, resulting from the Viennese secession, the Austrian version of art nouveau. Magnificent aesthetic based on a geometric ideal and not on curves and nature. These chairs feature very subtle decorative details imbued with modernism. They are in very good condition, perfectly stable and solid. One of them has a very slightly relaxed seat.
