Collectible Anfibio Sofa Bed, black velvet lounge chair, Italian Space Age

Very rare Anfibio Armchair/Bed. The Anfibio is one of the most recognisable and sought after pieces of Italian design ever. Its popularity, however, does not derive from a widespread diffusion. Instead, the soft convertible sofa designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti Collezioni in 1970 is more of a cult object, known to a niche of enthusiasts and collectors. With an elegant rounded shape, it is as comfortable as it gets, thanks to the wide armrests and enveloping backrest. It easily unfolds to turn into a bed, providing a cozy stay for your guests. This piece is an extremely rare iteration of the Anfibio, being the one-seater armchair, the hardest to find, and upholstered in black ribbed velvet, the least used material for any version of the Anfibio.
