Set of five mini ear bowls in Charolles earthenware, hand-decorated in a rustic spirit typical of the Burgundy manufacture. Each piece features a naive design combining a village with pink roofs, stylised trees, vegetation, and chickens, enhanced by a deep blue speckled border (3 bowls with village scene, 2 bowls with rooster scene). The low, flared silhouette, accentuated by two large scalloped side handles, gives these small bowls an immediately recognisable decorative presence. The variations in decoration and brushwork reflect artisanal craftsmanship, making each piece slightly different. The Charolles Faïencerie, founded in 1844 in Burgundy, is renowned for its hand-painted designs inspired by rural life and nature. In good vintage condition, with signs of use and small chips in the glaze on some handles and borders (see photos). Width from handle to handle 14 cm, diameter 8.5 cm, height 4 cm. In Charolles, even the little ears tell great stories!.
