VERY RARE LAMP OF "SIMCHA THE PENGUIN" BY FERNANDO CASSETTA, PUBLISHED BY THE ITALIAN BRAND TACMAN, FROM 1970 The body in opaline glass and printed for the wings. The penguin's head is removable (from top to bottom) to allow to modulate the light intensity that comes from the body. A design collector's item. Limited edition. In perfect condition. On May 13, 1970, fernando cassetta decided to file 6 patents for lamp models: simcha, the penguin lamp, zohra, the basset lamp, honi, the mouse lamp, thirza, the toucan lamp, abir, the bear lamp and rufus, the dog lamp. He set up collaborations, among others with the empoli glassworks where he had more than 1200 body parts manufactured. He also reached an agreement with the company tacman manara for the creation of plastic parts and marketing. And that's how the story began. Size:  Height: 20cm. Width open spout: 20 cm.
