This iconic F437 design armchair called "Orange Slice" is a creation of Pierre Paulin from 1960 for ARTIFORT. It is formed by two identical shells resembling orange wedges. The shells are attached to a chrome-plated tubular metal base. Pierre Paulin is one of the greatest designers of his time. He finds his influences in Scandinavian furniture and in the American productions of Charles Eames and Florence Knoll. In 1958, the furniture publishing house Artifort, based in Maastricht, decided to move towards contemporary furniture and brought together a team of designers including Pierre Paulin. He participated in the development of the Denon wing of the Louvre Museum, and in 1970 arranged the private apartments of President Pompidou at the Élysée, then the offices of President Francois Mitterand, Pierre Paulin's chairs are among the collections of the MoMA in New York and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. This chair is in remarkable condition. It was exposed without any use (hence the perfect condition of the chromium and fabric). No fault - no breach) For lovers of design and the great history of French design. A remarkable and touching piece. Dimensions: Height: 70 cm// Seat depth 84 cm// Length 80 cm// Weight 18 kg// Careful delivery and packaging. (Carrier selected by Selency)
