Bengt Karl Erik Lindström lived from 1925 to 2008. Lindström is one of the most famous contemporary Swedish artists. His works are characterised by a distinct style with the use of many colours. The influence of comic strips is evident in his frankness and unambiguous message. In 1944, Lindström moved to Stockholm to study with the Swedish painter Isaac Grünewald. In 1948, he went to Paris, where he studied with the French painters André Lhote and Fernand Léger. He remained in France in Savigny-sur-Orge until the end of his artistic career. Lindström is probably best known for his outdoor decorations, such as murals and colourful sculptures. One of his most famous sculptures is the massive Y-shaped sculpture at Midlanda Airport north of Sundsvall, Sweden. Original vintage condition. Printed in Tumba Grafik in 1995.
