Wood and metal slat bench by Saporiti, made and designed in Italy in the 1950s. Rare slat bench by high end mid-century furniture producer Saporiti. The bench is made of seven wooden slats on a black metal frame. The height can be adjusted with its beautiful brass feet. This bench is one of the few Mid-century slat benches that is actually known to be of a recognized design company. Many Mid-century benches for sale are self-made or cannot be traced back to a design company. Our example is marked and an original piece by Saporiti. Saporiti is a high end Italian furniture producer from the mid-century. They are known for their elegant designs such as the “Cosmos” lounge and dining chairs by Augusto Bozzi. The bench is in good condition.
