Former 1940s wooden carpenter's workbench with a noose. Found in the house of a carpenter who had made and signed all his furniture, this workbench was in a barn with another similar workbench both signed "pl ledoux". The signature is visible at the back of the workbench. See photos. This workbench can be used as a console in an entrance, living room or kitchen as a worktop or flat pass. It can be kept with or without its noose, in order to give it a more streamlined console style. Its pretty patina, shape and age will bring authenticity to an interior. It is in good condition and has been fully restored. Xylophage holes (which looked old) are noteworthy. The furniture was therefore completely treated in depth against the parasites (except the top of the tray). It was then cleaned and sanded slightly to keep its patina. The tray was sanded a little more because too dirty and then protected by two layers of colorless matte oil special worktop and table (suitable for food contact). The rest of the furniture was protected by a special matte colorless oil furniture. I am not a specialist but the essence of wood seems to be oak. 210cm X 46cm for the tray. 79cm tall.
