Bar furniture

I think I really have trouble with furniture that's too much in its original state. I love modernity too much for that. It's in my DNA. A clever mix of styles. I've already said it here, people will end up believing that I'm a fetishist, but furniture legs really make an impression on me. And this piece of furniture has what it takes in all the right places. When I got it, I imagined it as a turntable stand. But I quickly came to the conclusion that there wouldn't be enough storage. So out with the idea. And why not a bar cabinet with this interior height? As for the color, I already knew: aubergine. Sarah Lavoine's house selection for resource. Simplicity was needed; so I removed the drawer handles and the lock face. Too many frills. Same for the bottom of the piece of furniture, too much detail in the carvings. So I filled some of them in. A nice, thorough sanding, primer, three coats of paint for added depth, two coats of satin varnish, and this gorgeous wallpaper that I adore. So chic. What do you think?
