Oil on canvas Female nude 1952. This large canvas, painted by an amateur from Lorraine in 1952, is reminiscent of Modigliani's reclining nudes. Its style could also be linked to 20th-century artists who revisit the female nude with an intimate and simple approach. The painter, Comandini, although an amateur, demonstrates a great deal of talent and technique. The painting depicts a nude woman lying on a bed in a relaxed and elegant posture. The composition evokes an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The choice of a sober background is sufficient to highlight the central figure. It showcases the sensuality and grace of the female body. We appreciate the colour palette used and their subtle transitions (warm, pastel tones with rosy touches) and the almost tactile rendering of the fabrics. Everything is well executed down to the details, like the evanescent bouquet of roses in the background. Beyond its beauty, we find that this painting conveys an intense emotion. The canvas is in very good condition. The wooden frame has a small discreet loss of gilding at the bottom right (see photo). Nothing that detracts from its incredible charm.
