Purple vase Aimo Okkolin for Riihimäen Lasi Oy

Small mauve glass vase from the “the name day” series signed aimo okkolin and numbered under the base. Produced in 1959 by the riihimäen lasi oy glassworks. Riihimäen lasi oy was the most important Finnish glassworks in the country. Created in 1910, it is a key player in Finnish design in the 1960s and 1970s. Many designers have worked for glassworks such as Aimo Okkolin, Helena Tynell, Nanni Still and Tamara Aladin.
