Impressive glacier enamel tureen. A true collector's item from the 1960s. We love it for its appearance of volcanic lava of an intense turquoise. The work of the enamels is bluffing: we have the impression of seeing "eruptive" glazes like craters. This tureen is a real little work of art that will sublimate any interior. It was made by charles cart, ceramist and enamel specialist in the 1960s. In 1963, he registered the trademark "le cyclope, émaux des glaciers, émaux des neiges" in annecy, whose production is internationally recognized. He called it cyclops because of the large volcanic dimples created during the firing of pottery, which reveal the layers of balnc and black on its surface. This piece is not signed because these ceramics usually have a label that has unfortunately been lost. This tureen is in very good condition. It is sold with a large plate of the same type. Height: 24cm - diameter: 35cm.
