Antique pedestal table with a twisted column.

Ancient pedestal/column in the Louis XIII style, made of turned solid wood, created around the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century. The column features stacked balusters and a long, regular twist, on a round moulded base. The stained wood offers warm reflections on the turned parts. The circular top, in a lighter shade, is bordered by a moulding. It is designed to hold a plant, a stoneware pot, or a jug, adding height to a corner of a room. Condition: used patina. Scratches and small chips on the edge of the top. White marks and old woodworm holes on the base. The wood has been treated. Dimensions: height 91 cm, diameter of the top 24 cm.
