Ceramic Wall Plate from Eva Kumpmann, 1960s

This is a nice, high quality item made in the late 1950-60s. The hand molded and painted vessel has holes on the bottom for wall hanging. It is made of ceramic and covered with matt glazes. Geometric pattern and muted colors will look great in a mid century interior. The plate is stamped. Eva kumpmann was one of göttingen's formative artisans of the mid-20th century and for many years ran her workshop on wilhelm-lambrecht-strasse and sometimes her store on theaterstrasse.
