Small wall shelf/console table Napoleon III — carved walnut

Small wall shelf with two white marble shelves, Napoleon III style, in carved walnut, late 19th century. Openwork pediment decorated with scrolls, foliage, and a central cartouche, mounted on turned balusters in console topped with round finials. Compact and shallow format (14 cm), ideal as a wall-mounted piece or placed on a low furniture item, for displaying trinkets, frames, or small objects. Beautiful quality of carving, the ornaments are in impeccable condition. Some signs of period use to note: small chip of wood missing from a corner of the lower shelf, slight traces of woodworm, cracks on the marble of the upper shelf.
