Wooden farm console, circa 30's/40's

Vintage console, french, farmhouse, with drawer, from the 30s-40s. This beautiful, rustic, handcrafted piece is elegant, classic & modern at the same time. It is made of pine, with a beautiful rich & warm oak-colored finish. There is a functional and clean drawer with its pull button (see photos). It comes straight from périgord and was used in a bakery in monbazillac (see interior photo of the drawer), in the southwest of france. The piece is in good general condition, original & vintage, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, on the top (see photos with a 1 cent coin for perspective), edges, drawers, legs and ends (see photos), none of which affect the functionality of the piece, but only enhance its character, authenticity & charm. Some very old woodworking marks/cracks on top and on one foot (see photos.) old woodworm marks & marks, as would be expected for a piece of this age, but the piece has been completely treated, then delicately cleaned, polished with linseed oil & waxed, to preserve its integrity, & respecting its original patina of time. The table is stable. Ideal to use for vintage, rustic contemporary decor in an entryway, as a wall console against a large wall, living room, bedroom or bathroom. It could also be used in a smaller space or kitchenette, as a side table, small dining table or desk, in an office, or in a den. All photos are taken in natural outdoor light.
