Vintage toilet, Italy, 1940s

Elegant and refined dressing table or entrance console, made in Italy, dating from the 1940s or 50s. The design of this piece combines elements of Art Deco and Mid-Century modern design. The structure is made of maple with a top surface of coloured glass engraved with floral patterns. A magnificent cheval mirror rests on the top, featuring a brass frame. It is worth noting that the mirror, still original, has a small chip. The console has three drawers with brass handles, as well as brass tips on the tapered legs, a typical detail of the era. The height of the console alone is 72 cm; the stated height includes the mirror. This piece can be used as a dressing table, desk, or entrance console. Overall good condition.
