Handmade Wool Antique Persian Heriz Rug- 112x183cm

This fine wool rug was woven by hand in Persia, Heriz in the 1920s. Constructed with fine organic, wool and cotton, hand-spun and dyed with vegetable dyeing techniques that have been used for decades. The central design has been woven on a rich rust-orange background with blue, brown and beige accent colours that make up the geometric tribal design. The delicately woven symmetrical design, bold border and rich colours in this piece make it the perfect accent rug for any room. This grand tribal rug is an elegant antique Heriz piece. Heriz a city in the East of Azerbaijan- in the northwest of Iran. They are known for their intricately woven medallion tribal designs and vibrant colours.
