Old small compote dish in turquoise majolica with raised floral decoration.

Charming small antique footed compote in glazed earthenware, barbotine / majolica, probably from the late 19th or early 20th century. Very beautiful relief decoration on a turquoise blue background, composed of green foliage, a fruit in raspberry tones, and brown geometric patterns. A particularly decorative piece, whose small compote shape on a pedestal is less common than the plates in this series. A handmade wall mounting system has been installed on the back. It can be kept to display the piece on the wall or removed. Old condition with several signs of age: visible old restoration with staples on the back, restored cracks, small chips and missing glaze, crazing and signs of wear. The price takes these defects into account. Please carefully examine all the photos, which are an integral part of the description. Diameter: 20 cm. Height: 4 cm. Weight: approximately 400 g.
