In designing the Suspence™ lamp series, the designers sought to translate movement into a physical form: a drop of water suspended in the air. The final shape presents itself as an uninterrupted whole, enhanced by its monochrome expression and soft, natural curve. About the designers. Scandinavian functionalism and a clear communication of ideas underpinning the design are the key principles of GamFratesi's work. Founded in 2006, the duo consists of Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi. GamFratesi's design draws its creative strength from a fusion of tradition and innovation, as well as an experimental approach to chosen materials and techniques. With their dual culture, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi draw from both classic Danish design and its artisanal tradition, as well as the intellectual and conceptual approach characteristic of Italy. With their minimalist, refined, and expressive formal language, they manage to tell a unique story through their creations.
