Vintage coffee table - sculptural chrome base - Space Age spirit

Very beautiful vintage round coffee table with a particularly graphic design, characterised by a sculptural chrome metal base made of crossed slats. A piece that immediately catches the eye with its very elegant architecture: the lines of the base intersect and create a superb play of volumes and reflections, giving the whole a modernist, architectural, and decidedly designer look. Its round transparent glass top, 80 cm in diameter and particularly thick (about 8 to 10 mm), adds lightness and transparency to the base. The glass is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips. The chrome shows some slight surface marks consistent with age and use, visible in the photographs. A rare table due to its base, perfect for bringing a true statement piece into a contemporary living room, a vintage interior, or a decor inspired by the 1970s. Probably from the 1970s–1980s.
