Superb engraving of butterflies engraved and colored from an edition of about 1850. Here butterflies (rare board). The paper is ivory colored, very pretty and quite light. Very beautiful black lines typical of engraving. In very good condition. Original extremely well preserved. The beautiful illustrated subjects of these period editions are becoming rare now. Beautiful once framed. Generous format: 20.5 X 27 cm.
