Authentic French administrative desk from the 1960s/70s, with a clean, modernist design typical of the post-war reconstruction period. This model strongly resembles the designs of Pierre Paulin (CM 141 model) or Jacques Hitier for public institutions, with its black metal base and suspended pedestal. It is likely a high-quality piece of furniture, similar to those produced by Mullca, Sulpice, or other institutional furniture manufacturers. Structure: Black tubular metal base with a square cross-section, very stable and visually striking. Top: Warm-toned wood veneer (such as mahogany or teak) with a wide, black, shock-resistant edge banding (typical of vintage school/administrative furniture). Storage: Suspended pedestal with two spacious drawers and concealed (beveled) handles, reinforcing the minimalist design. Back: The desk is finished on the back, so it can be placed in the center of a room. Vintage office, 1960s, 1950s, modernist, industrial, Pierre Paulin style, Jacques Hitier style, tubular, black metal, administration, community, loft, renovation, mid-century.
