Antique coffee pot and sugar bowl in polylobed opaque English earthenware - COPELAND blue lily decor

This superb set of a polylobed coffee pot and sugar bowl is made of 19th century english earthenware. These are lovely pieces of a coffee service, made in england in the wt copeland & sons factory in stoke on trent in the staffordshire region. This factory was established in 1847. In moulded fluted earthenware, they are decorated with a delightful blue decoration of border friezes and scattered stars and lilies. In good general condition, the coffee pot measures 18 cm high X 15 cm wide and the sugar bowl measures 10.5 cm wide X 8.5 cm high. They bear the hollow mark "copeland". I note traces of use: cracks in the enamel and scratches, as well as a shock on the spout of the coffee pot.
