Dal or La Fonda Chair by Ray and Charles Eames, 1960s

This arm chair is one of two new fiberglass chairs Charles and Ray Eames designed in 1961, inspired by request from Alexander Girard, who needed seating for his new Manhattan restaurant, La Fonda Del Sol. The original upholstery has been removed previously because of damage. But the fiberglass therefor looks very good. The base is also in very good condition. A beautiful early edition chair. Unfortunately without sticker but this model has not been the subject of copying, according to 'Eames.com'. So authentic chair. Chair has new gliders.
