Fossil stone and chrome metal coffee table, Fossile Collection, Switzerland, circa 1980.

Coffee table made of fossil stone published by Collection Fossile in Switzerland around 1980. The rectangular top with bevelled corners features a richly veined surface, incorporating visible marine fossils, including shells and fragments of cephalopods dating from approximately 340 to 480 million years ago. The polished stone highlights the organic and mineral structure of these natural inclusions, creating a unique pattern. The whole rests on four chrome metal legs positioned at each corner.
