Painted wooden chest

Old polychrome wooden chest, in the style of norman wedding chests. On a dark green background, floral decorations of poppies, blueberries and daisies. A latin proverb written on top of "napo leo non vescitur" (the lion does not feed on turnips...) gives a little enigmatic character to this object... Handle of the top and old metal latch. The wood has spindles, evenly distributed, but the rear is more marked (see photos), which does not detract from its functionality or its charm...
