Pair of Garouste & Bonetti Koala pouffes in mohair velvet 1995

Superb pair of poufs by elizabeth garouste & mattia bonetti, koala model, with curved wood structure and patinated solid bronze base. Garouste & bonetti began their collaboration and gained worldwide recognition following the interior design of the parisian nightclub le palace in 1979, commissioned by fabrice eamer. This pouf model was designed by the duo in 1995, and published by bgh. Each patinated bronze foot is stamped bg they have been completely restored, and covered with a celadon blue mohair velvet fabric from the house of pierre frey, which is extremely soft and vibrant.
