Solid oak bench

This superb church bench made of solid oak has been carefully restored in the workshop. Initially covered with dark old varnish, it has regained its original clarity thanks to meticulous sandblasting, followed by fine sanding. Its design is distinguished by its wide moulded panels and rounded armrests typical of worship furniture, offering a robust and elegant structure. Sandblasting & Sanding: Stripping the wood to reveal its natural grain. Treatment: Preventive protection against wood-boring insects. Vitrification: Application of a matte varnish (raw wood appearance) for optimal daily protection, without artificial shine. The inside of the chest (bottom) is painted caviar brown. There are traces of time gone by, but they do not detract from its authenticity.
