Vallauris Vintage Vase by Michel Barbier

Pretty vase with abstract representation of bird and floral motif by michel barbier potter for vallauris. Very decorative artist's piece, reminiscent of those of reynaud, derval, innocenti... Very good quality, around 1960. Mr. Barbier is part of the geneva school: student of philippe lamberci. he had a pottery in lully (74) from 1970 to 1985, and worked for gustave raynaud at the pottery "le mulberry". His decorations for this workshop are recognizable by their beige-gray background, a drawing of stylized flowers, or extraordinary animals, and extinct blue or copper red enamels.
