Bistro chair signed Joseph & Jacob Kohn 1890/1910

Bistro chair in curved wood with caned seat and backrest, produced by Joseph & Jacob Kohn, a large Austro-Hungarian manufacturer founded in 1849, contemporary and direct competitor of Thonet. Brand indication under the chair. Structure in steam-bent beech. Original mechanical caning. The turned front legs distinguish it from more sober models. Rare model from the late 19th – early 20th century (circa 1890-1910). Structure in very good condition, caning of the backrest worn (see photo). Dimensions: seat 42 X 39 cm, total height 95 cm, seat height 47 cm.
