Mirror with flower carvings and foxed glass 19th 70x95cm

Antique 19th century louis philippe french gilded mirror with incised flower and leaves-decorations, inner bead border and foxed glass full of character. Ca. 1880. This beautiful antique french gold gilt mirror has the typical rounded upper corners that make it a louis philippe mirror. The gold leaf gilding of the frame shows some slight red bole through the gilding, giving the gold a warm touch. The mirror frame is structurally healthy and the mirror contains its original antique mirror plate. The glass is foxed, in a nice way, so it still possible to see yourself in the mirror. The mirror has its original back cladding and is in a very good state in general. Condition: wear is consistent with age and use. Overall good condition, with usual wear, scratches, minor losses to gilding. Slightly foxed glass.
