Antique gustavian swedish arm chairs 19th century

Beautiful swedish antique 19th-century gustavian set of 2 carved armchairs. This set of two armchairs with gilded and painted details with light, natural linen upholstery. With incredibly detailed hand-carved and scroll motifs with patina. This is gustavian style furniture, with oval backs and flared arms. Chain moulding around the oval back and seat. Tapering round legs. The super-comfortable upholstered large seat and back pad. A very rare piece in this style – we rarely see gustavian pieces like this. The shabby chic style looks in white and pastel. Condition: The armchairs are upholstered in natural new linen. Wood with original old white cream colour in rustic antique look, polished. The original seagrass, horse hairs filing and copper strings are still in the seat cushions. The chairs are in good restored condition ready for use. Reupholstered in linen without decorative trim. Old colour on wooden details stressed and oiled. The birch wood is very old and strong. The seatings in very good condition and comfortable. Armrest h 72 cm, seat h52 cm X w56 cm X 48 cm.
