Art Deco fish sculpture attributed to Le Jan, 1930'. The ceramic sculpture was cast in the Saint Clément factory in Lunéville and glazed in crackle style in cream white. A particularly decorative animal sculpture, wonderfully timeless and can therefore be combined with any interior. The sculpture is not signed. Small chip on the rear fin (see photo). Le Jan was completely unknown at the time, while sculptures of fish and other animals are well-known Art Deco ceramics. The realistic representation of the sculptures by Le Jan and other Art Deco artists is characterized by humor, kindness and imagination. A radical counter-movement compared to the animal bronzes of the 19th century. Very good condition, almost perfect.
