XXL Berber rug with long fringes from the 1960s. Cream-coloured pile with patterns in orange and green tones. Hand-knotted, approximately 40, 000 knots per m2. Age 50-60 years. 100% wool. Made in Morocco. Good condition with slight signs of use. All our carpets are cleaned in a professional carpet laundry. The first step of cleaning is thorough beating to remove dust and possibly mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a pH-neutral soap removes stains. In the main wash, the carpet is thoroughly washed by hand with a special soap that protects the fibres and preserves the natural wool grease. Machine pressing and spinning provide initial dewatering, and the carpets are then dried hanging with constant air circulation.
