Brass cactus and parrot sculpture console Alain Chervet 1989

Superb console sculpture cactus and parrot signed by alain chervet is in gilded and oxidized brass, dated 1989. It has an oval top in thick travertine. The base is in gilded brass, supporting the structure representing a cactus in patinated bronze verdigris, surmounted by a parrot sculpture in brass decorated and painted in oil by the artist arnaldo montes pinheiro. The fauna and flora theme, and the rich patinated textures are typical of the work of alain chervet. This unique piece has been completely cleaned and revarnished, and is in a superb state of conservation.
