Art Deco Teak and Mahogany Desk, Pondicherry – 1930

Solid teak and mahogany desk from the art deco period from Pondicherry, former French Indian trading post. The large top is made of solid mahogany with teak framing. On the right side, on the front, this desk has a sliding zipper. This desk opens with 3 deep drawers, equipped with original bronze keys and entries. The locks are in working order. On the left, we find a framed door with key and bronze entrance. The back of this desk is lined with quarter-round corner shelves on each side. ******** Period: 1930.
