Alonso pérez (1881-1914). Oil on canvas. Signature. 32x39cm. Famous spanish-french impressionist painter. Perez was born in the spanish city of zaragoza. He studied painting with his father, who made a name for himself in the colorful meissonier genre paintings of the eighteenth century. Alonso moved to paris at a very young age. He painted light genre scenes, often with subjects of court and coquettish encounters, the characters often dressed in eighteenth-century clothes. In addition, his work includes parisian urban life, in which he uses fashionable clothes from an earlier period. Pérez was a true impressionist in his relationship with color and light.
