Dining table, 50s. Superb dining table, part of the series of furniture of "sinistrés", designed by rené gabriel. In the aftermath of the second world war, the m.r.u. (ministry of reconstruction and urban planning) commissioned a group of decorators, designers, manufacturers to create a range of easily reproducible furniture to refurnish homes that had suffered destruction during the war. René gabriel, french designer of the twentieth century, specialized in standard furniture, is quickly selected. This table is therefore part of the emergency furniture distributed at the end of the 40s. It has been completely renovated, sanded and then revarnished. In good general condition, some traces of the weather on the set (see photos). Size: 135 X 73 X 75 cm (w X h X d).
