Group portrait photograph circa 1900

Old framed black and white photograph, depicting a group portrait circa 1900. Nine people (3 women, 4 men and 1 young boy) pose in front of the lens in a photography workshop. The false background of the background evokes the architecture of an ancient or roman church, with a statue and palm trees. The people in the foreground sit on a bench, in the back they are standing, to be at height the young boy is mounted on a stool. The dark clothing and headdress of the ladies is characteristic of the fashion of the late 19th century. At the bottom of the photograph is the name of the workshop: blain frères, in valence and romans in the drôme. Frame dimensions: 44.5x34.5 cm.
