Small antique Villeroy & Boch Dresden bonbonnière – Circa 1900. Charming small glazed ceramic box with a lid, from the former Villeroy & Boch factory in Dresden, Germany. Its delicately minimalist decoration combines an elegant cream-white hue with a fine red line and a bright red lid knob. This sober and graphic composition gives it an astonishing modernity, despite its age of over a century. The underside bears the historic Mercury mark of Villeroy & Boch Dresden, accompanied by the inscription "Made in Germany", indicating its manufacture likely between 1887 and 1909. Originally probably intended for sugar or sweets, this small piece can today serve as a decorative box or hold small precious items. A lovely piece of antique German ceramics, full of charm and history. Condition: Visible signs of age, particularly on the unglazed base ring. See detailed photographs. Careful packaging and secure shipping.
