A typical illuminated globe of French design from the 1970s, in the style of Taride or J. Forest, renowned Parisian manufacturers of school and decorative globes. This model, 20 cm in diameter and 32 cm in total height, rests on a varnished wooden base (14 cm in diameter) and a finely graduated, gilded metal meridian. The map, printed in French in pastel blue-green tones, features countries such as the USSR, Zaire, and Upper Volta, placing its manufacture between 1971 and 1975. Functional lighting, original switch, gilded metal meridian. A small dent at the North Pole, caused by the heat of a previous bulb, has no visual impact. Recommended bulb: E14 base, LED 1.5 to 3 W max (equivalent to 15–20 W incandescent) – warm white light (2700 K).
