Napoleon III / Louis XV mirror

Very large antique fireplace mirror (trumeau) in Louis XV / Rocaille style, probably from the Napoleonic III period / late 19th century. A particularly decorative piece with a large, richly worked open pediment, composed of scrolls, foliage, and floral motifs. The very open and sculptural decoration gives the mirror a strong presence. The structure is made of wood with an applied decoration in composition/stucco, typical of the decorative productions of this era. The glass has been replaced and is therefore not the original, but it has the advantage of being impeccable. Dimensions: 140 cm in height × 81 cm in width. To be restored or not. The mirror shows signs of wear, and the decoration of the pediment has cracks and some small losses of material. The white paint is old and also shows signs of age.
