An extra-large version of the famous lyfa peacock - or påfugl as they call it in denmark. Brilliant design by bent karlby, both a spectacular light fixture and a piece of art. This is a very rare prototype, made by lyfa in the 1960's. Story has it that it never made it to production, as it was deemed too big for the small danish houses. The two smaller peacock lamps on the last picture are not included. The large peacock lamp measures 48 centimeters (a bit under 20") across. Like the small version, it has circular metal place in bright colors to create a nicely dispersed, indirect lighting. The lamp is very wall made and in excellent condition. One small paint chip on the yellow plate, and some slight user marks on the white metal base. See pictures. The lamp has a 'made in denmark' stamp on the inside. Suited for two regular e27 light bulb, 75w max or led. Wiring fit for both 110v and 220v grid, eu-spec plug.
