The pottery factory in Vierzon was one of the major centres of ceramic production in France, particularly from the end of the 19th century. The factory specialised in the manufacture of fine faience, renowned for its quality. This superb vase in the shape of an amphora dates from the 1920s, straddling Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
