Here is an antique Louis XVI style mirror with remarkable features. First, it boasts unusual dimensions, standing at a height of 1.88 m and a balanced width of 1.21 m. This means it's a mirror best suited to spaces where its size is appropriate. A high ceiling will enhance its presence while also mitigating its often daunting effect. Second, in keeping with its Louis XVI style, it possesses a striking elegance, particularly due to its well-proportioned woodwork, as well as the pediment and carvings at the upper corners. The pediment itself contributes to this elegance with its delicate lines and openwork design surrounding a beautifully crafted shell motif. Finally, it is an original period mirror, beveled within a beaded border.
