Set of 6 vintage wooden chairs designed by René Gabriel in the 1950s. Made from beech wood, these chairs with simple lines are typical of René Gabriel's style, combining robustness and practicality. The furniture envisioned by Gabriel was meant to combine these two strengths in the context of Reconstruction after the Second World War. The aim was to create solid, easy-to-manufacture furniture... While maintaining a sense of beauty and simplicity. This set (non-stackable) has been fully cleaned and restored in our workshops. The chairs are in good overall condition (see photos) and have a lovely patina in golden honey tones. Seat height: 46 cm. Price displayed for the set.
