The Shanghai Togo Sofa from 2012 is a rare, limited edition sofa from Ligne Roset. This version, with armrests, is especially hard to find. The cover was designed by artist Cristian Zuzunga, who collaborated with Ligne Roset in 2008 to create the exclusive 'pixel' print for key furniture pieces, marking the 150th anniversary of Ligne Roset. Cristian Zuzunga, born in 1978 to a Catalan mother and Peruvian father, was raised in a multicultural household that inspired his curiosity and creativity. His work spans print, letterpress, photography, sculpture, textile, and furniture design. He founded Zuzunaga in 2009 to explore his creative interests, drawing inspiration from colour psychology, architecture, urban environments, nature, philosophy, alchemy, anthropology, sociology, and Jungian psychology. Michel Ducaroy designed the Togo in 1973 for Ligne Roset, and it remains popular today. The Togo was the first piece of furniture made entirely of foam, featuring an ergonomic design with polyether foam in five different densities. This iconic piece offers exceptional comfort for relaxing. French designer Michel Ducaroy (1925-2009) is best known for the Togo Sofa, produced by Ligne Roset. Ducaroy grew up in a family that owned a furniture factory and studied sculpture at the École Supérieure Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Lyon, which influenced his distinctive design style.
